Terms in plain language.
The ground rules for using Tawn’s extension, dashboard, and account features.
Updated 9 October 2026
Using Tawn
Tawn provides a browser extension and web dashboard for keeping and organizing pages you visit. The extension can save supported HTTP and HTTPS pages as visual cards. You can create sections, move cards, search your collection, and choose whether to sign in for sync.
The service is evolving. A feature shown as a future concept, including app integrations, an AI assistant, or profile switching, is not a promise that it is available now.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for activity under your account. You may use Tawn without an account in the browser extension; some features, including cross-device sync, require sign-in.
If you suspect someone else has access to your account, contact penchal@tawn.dev.
Your collection
The pages and information you save remain yours. You give Tawn permission to store, process, and display the information needed to provide the collection, previews, organization, and sync features you choose to use.
You are responsible for the pages and links you save, and for ensuring your use of Tawn respects the rights of other people and the rules that apply to you.
Acceptable use
Use Tawn in a way that does not harm the service or other people. Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the API, upload malicious material, or use the product to collect another person’s browsing activity without permission.
External sites and services
Saved cards can open third-party websites. Those websites are run by their own operators and have their own terms and privacy practices. Tawn may fetch page metadata to make a preview, but does not control the content of those sites.
Optional Google or GitHub sign-in is subject to the provider’s own terms.
Changes to the service
We may improve, change, or discontinue features as Tawn develops. We aim to keep the product useful and clear about what works today. If a change affects how your data is handled, the Privacy page should be updated as well.
